Janice Francis-Smith's warm, expressive voice brings an immediate intimacy to her songs about  the mystery and wonder of life and of love. Playing her own blend of jazz, folk and alt-country - most often on the baritone ukulele - she has entertained and inspired a variety of audiences, from quiet coffee houses to industry conferences and outdoor festivals. 

A two-time winner of Walnut Valley Festival New Songs and winner of a Posi Award from emPower Music & Arts, Janice self-produced her first full-length cd, Abracadabra, in 2015 and a second collection, TheWayBack, in 2018. February Songs, a song cycle dealing with the sudden death of her husband, was recently recorded in Austin, TX and is scheduled for full release in early 2019.
